낭만주의 시대 최고의 플루티스트로 인정받는 이탈리아의 플루티스트이자 작곡가 에르네스토 쾰러(Ernesto Köhler 1849-1907)는 플루트 연주자들 사이에서 "Flöten-Schule (Flute School)"로도 잘 알려져 있으며 100곡이 넘는 플루트 작품들과 함께 지금까지도 많이 사용되는 연습곡들을 작곡했습니다.
